Account Manager

Reporting to: Commercial Director

About the role

In this role, you’ll manage some of Transparity’s existing customers as well as working alongside the relevant Microsoft Account teams to establish and develop additional opportunities through your own activity. You will become a Microsoft Cloud evangelist, helping customers with their digital transformation via the Microsoft Cloud-based services offered by Transparity. The key to success of this role will be to create long-term, close relationships with our client base, becoming a trusted adviser rather than a salesperson.

Your location isn’t important as our clients are spread across the UK, but the role will involve travelling to customer site(s) as appropriate.

Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Proactively managing a portfolio of accounts, driving interest and pipeline for Transparity’s products and services
  • Proactively engaging with the relevant Microsoft Sales teams, facilitating a three-way partnership with our customers
  • Working with customers to determine their business requirements and make recommendations for solutions to meet those needs
  • Compiling quotes and detailed proposals for customers
  • Attending and presenting at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions as necessary
  • Ensuring that you maintain and expand relationships with existing client teams, as well as maintaining a close relationship with key partners such as Microsoft
  • Working closely with suppliers, negotiating costs of services and products to support a healthy margin
  • Engaging with technical teams to initiate project and or service delivery
  • Studying and understanding all facets of the IT products and services being offered

About you

First and foremost, at Transparity we recruit with our cultural fit in mind. Therefore, you will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, unwavering dedication to delivering service excellence, the ability to create and maintain exceptional working relationships, creative thinking and problem solving, and high levels of organisation.

It’s also important to have previous sales experience in selling Microsoft Cloud solutions, as well as achieving Maths and English GCSEs to grade C.
